To subscribe to a secure mailing list for notification of HOSTS updates click here. This is an email link with the Subject line already entered, nothing else is required. The purpose of the Mailing List is to provide regular users with a notice that the HOSTS file has been recently updated. This notice is not a newsletter or used for any other purpose.

If you register for email notification of updates this action will divulge your e-mail address. That address is retained for notification of updates only. We strictly enforce an Anti-Spam Policy! Under no circumstances is your e-mail address ever divulged to any 3rd party, or used for any other purpose other than intended.

A Special Note About Children (under the age of 13)
Children are not eligible to use our email notification service and we ask that minors do not use the notification service.

Editors Note: any emails sent out and Returned or bounced will be removed from the Mailing List. This includes returned emails that state the users mail box is over quota, accounts that are suspended, etc. Also if you are using a 3rd party spam filter program be sure to add this email address to your list. I will not jump thru hoops responding to messages to verify who I say I am.

Due to the restrictions imposed by my ISP (Comcast) some of you may notice a delay in receiving your update notices. The current size of the Mailing List has grown to a point where I can only send a fixed amount per day. You can always check for current versions on the main Hosts page if you would prefer not to wait.

In the event you do not wish to receive future notifications, you may unsubscribe by simply replying to the sent message and request to be removed.

Thanks to Randy Knobloch (aka: Siljaline) and others for providing the online update notices for the HOSTS file. These online updates are posted to most major security related sites, Newsgroups, and mailing lists.
