DirectPlay Issues

Q. What support is offered for Proxy Servers?

DirectX 6 provided upgrades to DirectPlay that allow play across the Internet from behind a firewall.  This requires that certain ports be made available in the configuration of the proxy server, and that opponents also must use DirectX 6.  The following ports are required :

47624          Outbound TCP
2400-2400    Inbound and Outbound TCP and UDP
